This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy an evening of entertainment, mingle with fellow landowners, forestry and natural resource professionals in our exhibit hall, and create unforgettable memories with your family. Whether you're a magic enthusiast, a fan of Swamp People, or just looking for a way to grow your community, this reception is one you won't forget.
This reception is not just for entertainment though, but an opportunity to leave an impact. During the reception, our Silent Auction will be in full swing, to share the story of Caroline's Legacy and the importance of perseverance, faith and long-standing impact. This is a perfect chance to support our community initiatives while acquiring something special for yourself or your property.
Why a Silent Auction?
Hosted in honor of a friend, Caroline Ward Olsen, who battled Ovarian cancer and passed in 2021, shortly after the original Woman Landowner Symposium. Caroline helped orchestrate this Silent Auction as a way to spread awareness of ovarian cancer. A passionate wildlife biologist and nature enthusiast, we will share more about Caroline's Legacy at the silent auction. All funds will be 100% donated to The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. According to the American Cancer Society, ovarian cancer ranks fifth in cancer deaths among women.

Yes! You can use the "individual + spouse" ticket option to bring any additional member of your family! It is really encouraged to bring your spouse, however I know there are many complexities which may not allow you to do so and this is still a great option to bring multiple family members together and experience this transformative event for your family land.
Yes. Whether you attend in-person, or virtually, you will gain access to the recordings after the Symposium concludes. It usually takes 1-2 weeks to process all of the video sessions and upload them to a folder you'll be able to access, but you will be notified as soon as they are ready for later viewing!
The 2025 Symposium is uniquely designed to emphasize the differences in gender perspectives and interpretations in landownership and forest management decisions. That being the case, Day 1 you will walk through the entire agenda, until the Reception, in your gender specific community group! And on Day 2, we will highlight the differences in open discussion, questions, and focal points. This is also designed to empower and excite each of you individually, which will allow for more impactful discussions on Day 2 and helping you leave this event completely on the same page as far as vision, understanding one another's responsibilities and how to make management decisions more effectively together.
Yes! There will be an exhibit hall highlighting a variety of professional resources encouraged to you to network with and interact with. Networking will be done during breaks between sessions as well as during the Reception on Day 1.
If you are a professional wanting to exhibit or sponsor the event, click the downloadable pdf form above and send back to me at landandadies@gmail.com or email me directly any questions you have.
No, of course not! The majority of participants stay on Jekyll Island, which is only 15 minutes from the venue location, and enjoy the opportunity to eat and walk on the beach and check out the world-renowned Driftwood Beach. It should be noted Jekyll Island is a State Park and has a $10/daily entry pass requirement. If you do not wish to stay on Jekyll Island the next recommended hotel options to look at are off Exit 38, near our hotel lodging. This is still a 10-15 minute drive to the venue, but places you in the middle of town full of a variety of restaurants and local town to enjoy!
Yes! When you check out, there will be a short form asking if you need childcare Y/N. Just put YES CHILDCARE, and an additional $25 invoice will be sent to you to put your child in the nursery care, on-site, of the venue. It is $25 for the entire event, not per-day. I encourage you to bring your babes with you, especially nursing ones, and this gives you the flexibility to nurse at your convenience while being able to enjoy the sessions.
I will need to know BY February 18th if you need childcare so I can ensure appropriate number of nursery workers.
Hey, I listen life happens, and you can't plan for the unexpected. There is a 100% refund guarantee until February 7th. After that we can provide a 50% refund until 5 days out (Feb. 22nd).
Please email me at landandladies@gmail.com if something has happened that prevents you from attending the Symposium.
